Research Models
The Big 6 Research Model will be used in the library at WES to conduct a variety of research assignments for students in grades 3-5. This model includes the following six steps: Step 1: Define the Task: What do I need to do? Step 2: Information Seeking Strategies: What can I use to find what I need? Step 3: Location & Access: Where can I find what I need? Step 4: Use of Information: What information can I use? Step 5: Synthesis: What can I make to finish the job? Step 6: Evaluation: How will I know if I did my job well? |
